The importance of colour profiles is often overlooked, but correct colour accuracy is essential in ensuring that the final artwork or PDF looks as vibrant as possible and as intended.

Specific profiles for press advertising are often mandatory for true colour representation.

I use paragraph, character, object and cell style sheets as much as possible in InDesign – and character, colour and component styles in XD.

This eliminates the need to manually change each instance of an object or type style, thus saving time when design tweaks are made and makes sure that similar elements in a document remain consistent.

This is particularly relevant in larger documents such as reports or catalogues.
